60 inch tub will not fit into the space because of the surrounding walls..... help.
Without knowing the exact dimensions of the space you are trying to place the 60 inch bathtub into, I will give you a few scenarios to consider....
1 - If the bathtub will almost fit, but not quite, you may be able to cut the sheet rock on either side of the bathtub opening, and then trim away at the studs until you get an opening size that the tub will slide into. Just make sure that you only cut the sheet rock up to the height of the top of the bathtub so that you can still tile or paint the walls.
2 - If one of the walls can be removed without affecting the operation of the bathroom, you might look into this possibility. You might remove one wall, and then add a shortened wall in its place a foot or so to the right or left depending on what side of the tub the wall you are removing is located.
3 - If the bathtub opening is dramatically too small, you might take a look at a smaller corner bathtub.
Good Luck on your Bathroom Remodel!
