70's style bathroom remodel

what is the easiest, cheapest way to remodel a bathroom with 70's style tile?

Thank you for submitting a question to our Bathroom Remodel How-To page...

This type of bathroom generally has tile surrounding the bathtub as well as surrounding the entire bathroom part way up the walls as depicted in the photo above.

One way to remodel this type of bathroom is to remove all of the tile from the walls and then repair / replace the walls - doing all of this yourself is of course the cheapest way to get this step done... replacing tile yourself is not real hard.... here is a set of how-to dvd's called Tile Made Easy that can get you on your way to replacing the tile around your bathtub.

Another thing to consider is to cover the existing walls with shower board. This is sheets of board that can be attached to the walls around the bathroom as well as in the shower area. These boards can be purchased at Lowe's or Home Depot. This will not require you to remove the tile from the bathroom walls.

Good Luck on your bathroom remodel!

Houses and cars are not cheap and not everyone is able to buy it. Nevertheless, mortgage loans are invented to support people in such kind of cases.
