Bathroom Remodel Project Replacing Tub Later

by vfoote3

I am planning on replacing the bath vanity, toilet and install new tile floor and wall tiles. I don't want to tackle the tub removal and tub area tiling just yet. Can I remove the bathtub and tile that tub area at a later date without damaging the floor? Or should I expect some floor tile damage?

Thanks for your Bathroom Remodel Question -

My Family recently conquered a complete bathroom remodel without replacing the bathtub... Of course, our main objective was not to replace the bathtub in this remodel project.... at all.

AS you know, bathroom floor tile usually comes directly up to the side of the bathtub, so I cannot imagine ever getting the tub out without having to replace at least some of the tile around the bathtub....

One other thing to consider is the tile grout.... it will be next to impossible to match the exact color of the tile grout when replacing tile around the bathtub, although the tile will be easy to replace.....

Just some thoughts..... Good Luck on your bathroom remodel....
