Bathroom Wall Medicine Cabinet

But with just a little knowledge, you can do it yourself. Here’s how. A bathroom wall medicine cabinet is a vital part to any bathroom. The medicine cabinet is mounted on the wall. It is fairly simple to install a surface mounted medicine cabinet.

When you install a medicine cabinet you must make sure that it is securely attached to the wall. Once loaded with items, the medicine cabinet will become quite heavy.

Here is an easy installation procedure:

1. Have someone hold the medicine cabinet. Make sure they are holding it centered over the sink and level. Place a level on top of the medicine cabinet to make sure it is level or use a laser level. Then trace around the cabinet with a pencil. Or, to avoid pencil marks that you will have to clean off later, use painter's tape to mark the outline.

2. Next, you need to find the studs in the wall. I use a stud finder that I purchased at the local hardware store. Mark where the studs are on the wall. Then, from your outline on the wall measure in to the studs. Then, on the inside of the bathroom medicine cabinet, measure in and mark the stud locations.

3. Now you will need to drill holes in the back of the bathroom wall medicine cabinet. You will need to drill where the studs are and through the hanging apparatus on the back of the medicine cabinet.

4. Then, have someone hold the medicine cabinet once again in the proper position and level it. Then you will need to secure the bathroom medicine cabinet to the wall using the supplied hardware that came with the medicine cabinet or other appropriate hardware. That's it!
