I have VERY hot water in the bathroom sink- but the tub/ shower water is lukewarm at best. Short of calling a plumber- what can I do?
Some Observations
Thank you for submitting a question on our bathroom remodel how to page.
Well - it is hard to comment on the situation because we do not know whether there is a lack of flow of hot water from the bathtub faucet (must not be completely since you are getting luke warm water)....
Based on what you have given, I would....
1 - check the flow of water from the hot water side of the faucet - if the flow is minimal, then there is either something in the faucet assembly blocking the flow of the water to the bathtub, or perhaps the hot water valve is turned down or off.
2 - Depending on the type of bathtub faucet that you have, you may be able to clean a valve, or replace a cartridge to get the hot water flowing again.... look up the faucet model number on the internet for more references....
I am sure there are other thinks that you can try..... any suggestions are welcome here....
