Hi I live in a 60+ year old building. Some of the tiles in the Bathroom are falling off.

How should I go about replacing them? The Wall they were on also is damaged and brick size concrete/plaster can come off. Here is a pic of the worst area

Most of the stuff that was under the tiles can easily be pulled off.

Thank you for submitting a question to our Bathroom Remodel How-To page...

It looks like your best bet would be to remove the old tile, and then attempt a repair of the bricks underneath the tile...

Since the house is 60+ years old, it will probably be impossible to match the existing tile.... I would go ahead with a complete replacement.

Follow the steps here to remove bathroom tiles... At that point, you will be able to completely assess the brick damage underneath.

Good luck on your bathroom remodel!
