I removed my shower doors and the frame to clean. The caulking that held the chrome frame in place for 25 years is impossible to remove from the chrome. I'm afraid to aggressively scrape it because that will scratch the chrome. Any ideas on how to remove the old, hardened caulking would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for submitting a Bathroom Shower How To question...
Check with your local home improvement warehouse store for some silicone caulk remover.
Apply the caulk remover, and allow it to sit for up to 30 minutes to soften the caulk..... then as you slowly remove the caulk, re-apply the caulk remover as necessary....
Good luck on your bathroom remodel!
