How to repair bathroom wall after tile removal

How would I repair a bathroom wall after tile removal? The wall needs to be prepped for painting.

Some Tips
Thank you for submitting a question on our bathroom remodel how to page.

There are several options...

1 - You can sheet rock (use the green waterproof sheet rock) the walls and then paint.

2 - Repair the walls with drywall plaster if the damage is not too extensive. Finish the drywall plaster by lightly sanding.

When you are ready to paint your bathroom walls, be sure to use a paint especially blended for bathrooms and make sure that there is a mildewicide mixed in (you may have to purchase it separately).

Good luck on you bathroom remodel....
