You can re-paint porcelain bathroom tile. It is a long task if it is done right.... and you do want to do a good job so that it lasts....
Remember that paint will not stick to a slick surface, so to start out, you will need to completely clean the tile and grout. Then sand the tiles with a very fine grit sandpaper.
Apply a couple coats of a good quality primer to the tiles lightly sanding between coats....
Use a semi-gloss or gloss oil based paint to paint the tiles.... apply a few thin coats.
Once the paint is dry, apply a few coats of polyurethane to protect the finish...
