Redo Bathroom Countertops

Is there any way to recover the countertops that you already have in your bathroom, without having to buy all new cabinets and countertop?

For instance, can you recover the countertops with some sort of material like tiles or something else that can stick on or glue on?

Absolutely, you can re-cover the bathroom cabinets that you already have.....

If you want to tile your countertop, I suggest that you remove the existing countertop, and then tiling on top of a backerboard.

You can tile over existing an existing countertop, but the height of the tile might pose problems. But if the tile height will not be a problem, pre-sand the countertop (if it is laminate), apply the thin-set mortar, and lay the tile.

A word of warning.... if the existing countertops are laminate, there is always the possibility that the laminate will come apart from the plywood under it.... that means that anything that you attach to the laminate will also come off..... just be sure to verify that the laminate is attached securely.

We offer a few good bathroom remodel resources that might help you with the work.

Good luck on your bathroom remodel.....
