Remove bathtub from Master Bath - Is this ok to do from a resale point of view?

I wish to remove the tub from the master bedroom and install a large shower and change area instead, is this good idea? My home already has two other tubs in the washrooms.
Joan - Thank you for your question. This is a personal preference for the most part.
If you are planning on being in the house for an extended period of time, then most definitely remodel the bathroom to your liking.
Also, there are many homes that only have showers in the master bathroom..... many more homes that actually have tubs in the master bath - the bathtub just does not get used....
Any other opinions?
