Our master bathroom has taupe on beige striped wallpaper that we do not want to replace at this time. Our bathroom light is tarnished and must be replaced.
Unfortunately, we cannot find a light that has a base which will fully cover the old base (surrounded by wallpaper.) We no longer have any leftovers of the wallpaper and don't believe we'll find it as wallpaper is not popular these days.
We really don't want to be forced to replace the wallpaper, yet what can we do? I thought about possible molding around the base but my husband doesn't think there is such a thing. Any ideas?

That's a great question....
You didn't mention how large a space you might be talking about, but if the area is not huge, you might consider buying a small amount of paint that would match the color that stands out the most on your wallpaper, and use that as background on the wall.
Good luck on your bathroom remodel....
