Hello-
I'm hoping you can give me a couple quick ideas/direction on a project I'm working on. I'm just a regular homeowner trying to tackle a shower pan project.

I'm to the point where I have the membrane down (I already have the sand topping pre-slope done). Here are the 3 questions I have.

1. I have attached some pictures to explain this. How do I join the dam and the little stub wall I built with the liner? The vertical 2X4 does not currently have any liner on it. How would I put liner and seamlessly join it with the other?

2. On the wall with the dam all the way to the wall, I currently have a slit/gap I had to cut to make my corner inside the shower. Again, how would I fill this gap with liner material.

3. I am using a Sioux Chief solvent weld drain and I'm to the point I need to tighten down the bolts holding the clamping ring. The directions on the Sioux website says I can bolt the ring directly down and that should be good. I've read many blogs that stated they put some plumber putting inside the sealing groove for better seal? What is your opinion on this?

4. I want to flood test my unit. How would I do this? Do I need a plug for it? Where do I get the plug from? It just seems even if I flood the thing, there will still be some water that drains out through the threads of the drain. That doesn't seem to have a completely sealed fit. Also, won't the water go out through the weep holes? I'm just a little confused here.

Thank you for any help you can give. I'm to the point where I can make some costly mistakes, so I wanted to get a second opinion.

All of you experts out there - Let's give Shaun some help....
