We are in the midst of remodeling our Bathroom and are now tackling the shower.
We have selected a tile pattern for the walls, the size of the tile being 13 inches..(because I hate grout).
But we are unsure of the size tile that we should put on the shower floor. Is a 6x6 tile too large or would that be ok in a 32x76 sized shower? The tile we picked does not come in a 4x4 and I really don't want it that small again (that's what we are removing).
Hi Pauline, and Thank you for submitting a Bathroom Tile How To question...
The only consideration in shower floor tile really is the slope of the shower floor. If the tile can be laid down (before grouting and thinset) without wobbling, then the tiles will work on the shower floor.
The most important thing is that you are happy with the design.... 6X6 should be fin the the size shower that you are designing....
Good luck on your bathroom shower remodel!!!
