Shut Off Valve Broke

by Shirley White
(Washington State, United States)

Bathroom sink shut off valve knob broke off. I cannot get the valve itself to loosen up to replace it. Water shoots out the broken end. How can I get the valve off? any suggestions?

Turn off the water
by: DIYBath

You may need to turn off the main water into the house to tackle this problem.

Use needle nose pliers to get the Shut Off Valve out.....

If this does not work, just cut the pipe and replace the entire pipe.....

Happy remodeling!
