Slate Deco Tile for Shower Walls
We are thinking of selecting a slate deco tile for the shower walls. Is slate acceptable for use in a shower on the walls? What is the maintenance to be performed and does slate tiles hold up over the years?

This type of stone is acceptable in a shower if it is sealed properly. The sealing would have to be maintained to keep the slate from getting wet.... slate is a very porous stone.
You might want to consider a ceramic slate look alike for a shower installation....
