Hi I have a basement bathroom that where the toilet is above the rest of the floor. Why is this and how can I fix this? Thanks for the info.
Wendy - Without seeing a photo, it is difficult to determine the exact reason that the toilet is raised higher than the rest of the bathroom.
It could be that the concrete floor was not cut to add the water and sewer lines... to fix this would require some masonry cutting to place the sewer and water lines lower than the floor of the bathroom.
If you feel comfortable, add another question to the forum with some photos, and I will add the photos to this question.
