Tools to Use

Hello,
I would like to know what kind of tile saw is doing the best job in remodeling the bathroom?

Pankas - Hello , and Thank you for submitting a Bathroom Tile How To question...

There are three types of saws / tile cutters that you might consider when tiling your bathroom....

1 - The non-powered tile cutter - a platform with a track over it, with a small round blade that slides along the track. You score a line on the tile, then break it along the score.

2 - Tile Nippers - these look like pliers, but have a claw edge design to gouge out a portion of the tile. You would use nippers to get a little closer cut if you are hitting an obstruction.

3 - A water cooled wet saw - this saw is like a table saw that uses a stone blade that is run through water to prevent the tile from over-heating and burning while being cut. It is used for complex cuts.

I hope this helps with your question. Good luck on your bathroom remodel!
